Who said downtown gets all the cool murals? Tucked away at 1032 Upper Wellington St, right on the side of Busy Bee Convenience, is a mural that hits harder than Skeletor on leg day.

Behold: He-Man gripping the Sword of Power in both hands like he really means it, belting out that legendary line—

ā€œI HAVE THE POWER!ā€

And honestly? Same, after a bag of chips and a scratch ticket from Busy Bee.

The mural is a graffiti-meets-80s-cartoon nostalgia meltdown:

  • Castle Grayskull looming in the fog

  • Orko floating mysteriously

  • Skeletor, Havoc Staff in hand, scheming like your least favourite coworker

  • Surreal clouds, slick tags, and pops of purple, indigo, and nostalgic gold tie it all together in a gloriously kitsch mashup of eras and styles.

So next time you’re cruising up the mountain, pull over. Snap a pic. Channel your inner Eternian. Because the Power of Greyskull is alive and well on Upper Wellington.
