Shai Immortalized in Hamilton!

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has officially been crowned the NBA’s 2025 MVP, and to celebrate, a powerful mural has gone up at his high school here at Sir Allan MacNab.

Set against a black backdrop, the mural shows Shai with his back turned, arms raised in victory, perfectly forming the “V” between a bold M and P. Together, they spell MVP, a powerful tribute to his journey from Hamilton to NBA greatness.

Shai led the Oklahoma City Thunder to the league’s best record (68-14), averaging 32.7 PPG on near-historic efficiency:

Already a 3x All-Star, he now joins KD and Russ as the only Thunder players to earn the league’s highest individual honour.

Shai’s journey from Hamilton streets to NBA stardom continues and with the Thunder charging toward the Finals, he’s not done writing his story.
